Parking structures are where precast earns its reputation. This type of project shows how off-site casting, sequenced delivery, and crane placement come together on a tight commercial site.

The challenge

A busy commercial site with limited laydown space, a fixed opening date, and a deck that has to survive years of road salt and freeze-thaw cycles.

Our approach

Columns, inverted-tee beams, double-tee floors, and spandrel panels were cast while foundations went in. Loads arrived in erection order so each bay could be set, connected, and closed out before moving to the next.

The outcome

A durable, low-maintenance frame with minimal on-site formwork, less congestion during construction, and a structure ready for traffic sooner than a comparable cast-in-place approach.

How early should we bring you into a project?

As early as design development, if possible. Early involvement lets precast units be sized and scheduled alongside site prep, which is where most of the time savings come from.

Can precast be installed during Milwaukee winters?
